Installing Radius Cup Guards

It's best to do one guard at a time, remove the original bolt from the Jimny radius arm mount, add 1 washer to the bolt and carefully pass through the guard and mounting bracket. Leave the bolts loose at this stage with the nuts fitted.

So you will have the following order:

Bolt - Washer - Bush - Radial Cup Guard - Chassis Mount - Radial Cup Guard - Bush - Washer - Spring Washer - Nut.

Repeat this for the remaining brackets.  When tightening the bolts up, the guard is compressed and does bend in. This is nothing to worry about and is how these are designed.

Lower the car to the ground sitting on its wheels so the bushes are relaxed, and tighten the nut really tight.

IMPORTANT

If you install these guards and you can hear knocking while driving, they need to be tightened more. The bolts need to be very tight.
