Fitting our JB74 Jimny Snorkel
Installing the snorkel is a fairly simple job, as long as you have the right tools.
The two points to think about are:
- Make sure you have the template in exactly the right place, and tape it to the car well, so it doesn't move
- The 'S' tube that goes inside the guard needs to be shortened by about 10mm. A hacksaw will be fine for this job.
Installing one of our snorkels is just the same as installing a snorkel to any other vehicle. Please watch the video below to see how it's done...
COMMON QUESTIONS
"What is the rubber strip for?"
This is to run around the sharp edge of the large hole in the guard.
"What is the cable tie for?"
This is to go where the S bend meets the original Suzuki intake piping in the engine bay.
"Why is the S bend too long?"
This is an issue with the product, and it just needs a quick trim of about 10mm. A hacksaw makes this job easy, just make sure to remove any plastic dust and fragments from inside the tubing.
