Mounting the Bonnet Wind Deflector

Our Bonnet Wind Deflectors are great for reducing bug splatter on the windscreens, and since installing these on our rental cars, we have seen a noticeable reduction in stone chips.

Fitting these guards is quick and easy.

  1. Before mounting, connect the 4 small mounts to the wind deflector with the thumb screws. This will help you see where the double-sided plastic needs to be stuck to the bonnet.
  2. Line up the wind deflector to the bonnet, where it's going to go, and you'll now be able to put the sticky tape on the bonnet. This is to stop the metal clamp from damaging the paintwork. The tape wraps around the front of the bonnet, with half of the tape strip on the top of the bonnet, and half on the underside.
  3. Once the tape is on, the wind deflector can be screwed to the bonnet. The stainless steel screws screw up onto the underside of the bonnet to hold the deflector in place.
  4. Shaping may be required with a heatgun or hair drier on the outside edges of the wind deflector, to get it off the paintwork. You can just hold the wind deflector where you need it, and heat the wind deflector. Be careful not to heat the paint of the car too much.
